Tuning a diesel

Tuning my old Chevy pick'em up truck is a long term project,

but i'll post any progress on this page. The engine is a Chevy

6.2 diesel which will keep breathing naturally. A turbo would

give an easy power increase, but also add complexity and a

few more worries regarding things that can (and will) break.

A turbo simply pushes more air into the cylinders, which will

allow more diesel to be injected. My idea of getting more air

fed to the engine is a passive forced induction system and a

larger air filter to start with. I've modified the air cleaner to

hold a 50% larger filter and pictures of it will soon be posted.
